Elliott, Lewis, Lieber and Stumpf, Inc, Certified Public Accountants, is also known as ELLS to our clients and associates. ELLS was founded in 1968 and provides traditional accounting services, tax planning, estate planning, and business growth consulting to our clients. In addition, we are recognized experts at identifying and capturing California Enterprise Zone state tax credits. We are among the largest mid-sized accounting firms in Orange County.

Gregory N. Lewis, CPA/PFS, CFP

Officer and Shareholder

Gregory N. "Greg" Lewis has been part of the ELLS team since 1978, and an officer and shareholder since October, 1984.

Greg manages all accounting and auditing services, including review and audit of company records, personal and corporate financial planning, tax planning, business profitability analyses and corporate budgeting.

His focus is to find profitable business solutions for ELLS clients. On a typical day, he may negotiate financial transactions with a financial institution for one client, meet with a client's management team to structure a business plan, or outline a buy/sell agreement for another client.

Greg is an active member of the Santa Ana Workforce Investment Board whose vision is to create a workforce in Santa Ana that achieves world-class status and actually surpasses the needs of local employers.

Edward J. Lieber , CPA

Officer and Shareholder

Edward J. "Ed" Lieber is the Tax Specialist at ELLS. He supervises the tax department utilizing his over 30 years of public accounting experience.

His tax expertise covers individual and business taxation, Enterprise Zone reporting, retirement plans, tax-deferred exchanges, tax-free incorporation, and corporate reorganization.

Ed Lieber represents clients before the IRS and the Franchise Tax Board on tax compliance issues. His success in negotiations with taxing agencies has helped many clients receive favorable resolutions to tax controversies.

In addition to tax compliance issues, Ed Lieber and his capable staff are responsible for our accounting software programs and support, providing software installation, set-ups, and on-site training programs with continuing client support. With the increasing reliance on computerization in business, clients appreciate Ed Lieber's competence and direction in this important area.

Ronald D. Stumpf , CPA

Officer and Shareholder

Ronald "Ron" Stumpf is an expert in tax and financial strategies, California Enterprise Zone state tax credits, and mergers and acquisitions taxation. He is also the engagement partner on many audits, reviews and compilations. Industries he serves include healthcare, manufacturing, real estate, food service, and professional service firms.

Ron assists his clients with the sale and merger of their companies to publicly held companies in stock purchases and asset purchase agreements. He performs due diligence on the purchasing company, ensuring his client obtains the best possible selling price. Before the merger or acquisition, Ron reviews the agreement for tax considerations, financial impact, and cash flow considerations. Ron's thorough knowledge of his clients' businesses, his experience with the complexity of assigning fair values on acquisitions, calculating goodwill, and understanding critical taxation issues enable him to provide his clients with the most favorable outcome.

Ron assists clients in obtaining lines of credit, term financing, leases, and letters of credit. He provides timely, accurate and meaningful financial information to his clients. He works with clients to organize their internal record keeping for audits, financial statements and reports, and tax filings. He prepares cash flow projections to evaluate new product lines and potential business acquisitions. Ron serves on the Executive Committee of the Southland Economic Development Corporation (SEDC), a position he has held since 1997. He has been a member of the Loan Committee of SEDC since its inception in 1992 and served two terms as Chairman of the SEDC Board of Directors in 1999 and 2000.

Sherry L. Radmore, CPA, MST

Officer and Shareholder

Sherry Radmore has been in public accounting for over 25 years, years, and on the ELLS team since 1985. She became an officer and officer and shareholder on October 1, 1998 and is the first woman to achieve that position in our firm.

Sherry's area of specialization is the growth-oriented small to medium sized business and its owner(s)/ entrepreneur(s). She brings considerable talents to serving this group. Her clients include health care professionals, distributors and wholesalers, manufacturers, attorneys, financial services, and non-profit entities. Sherry's focus on tax law and keeping up to date with changes in the tax code translates into immediate tax advantages for her clients. Other services she ably provides include tax planning for businesses and individuals, audits, reviews and compilations, tax compliance work for all types of entities, non-profit applications and tax returns, business consulting services, and personal financial planning.

Additionally, she has an extensive background in Internal Revenue Service and Franchise Tax Board examinations and represents clients on a firm-wide basis. Her careful preparation on behalf of our clients' interests, and knowledge of the nuances of the tax code are instrumental in bringing about a positive outcome for our clients.

Sherry is our firm's expert in estates, trusts, and gifts. She specializes in structuring estate plans (including trusts and gifts) to protect our client's interests and preserve their assets from excessive taxation.

Maria T. Arriola, CPA

Officer and Shareholder

Maria is the newest officer and shareholder at Elliott, Lewis, Lieber & Stumpf, Inc. (ELLS) as of October 1, 2001.

She joined ELLS in 1984 as a Paraprofessional, and through her commitment to continuing education, exceptional work ethic, and dedication to excellence, she was able to achieve the position of Vice President and Shareholder. She specializes in working with growth-oriented small businesses and the financial management and consulting needs of their owners.

Maria has considerable experience in the implementation and completion of audit, review and compilation engagements for our clients. She serves her clients in the areas of personal, corporate, partnership, and enterprise zone income tax preparation and planning. Her other services include real estate tax management, federal tax credits, LLC consulting, business consulting, start-up business issues, and managing client's compliance projects such as annual income tax reporting and financial statements preparation.

Maria's experience in real estate tax management includes structuring the sale of a client's business for the highest price realization and then implementing tax strategies to shelter the sales’ proceeds. In addition, Maria manages ELLS' Cost Segregation department and is responsible for the implementation and completion of all Cost Segregation studies.
